Are you ready for the biggest winter event in Holland? The Amsterdam Winter Paradise is the place to be every year with lots of winter activities and a unique Christmas atmosphere. After a period of 2 years, in December 2022 it is time again for a Winter Paradise that is even bigger than the previous editions. When is the Amsterdam Winter Paradise?
The Amsterdam Winter Paradise has become a tradition in Holland. Every Christmas holiday, the doors of this wonderful winter festival open. In 2022, after 2 years, there will be another edition. The fourth edition of the Amsterdam Winter Paradise will start on Thursday 15 December and last until Sunday 1 January.
What activities are there?
This major winter event in Amsterdam is the ultimate winter experience. The Winter Paradise is bigger and more spacious than ever. This year, there will be no less than 3400 m² of ice fun. There will be fantastic shows with performances by well-known Dutch artists.
Besides the familiar activities, there will also be some new ones. Do you dare to go down the brand new Boomerang slide or do you prefer to stand in the new Après-ski village?
Every year, the Amsterdam Winter Paradise is full of winter activities. From a large indoor and outdoor skating rink, Ferris wheel, merry-go-round and cross-country skiing, it’s all possible at the Winter Paradise. Of course, you can also browse the Christmas stalls and enjoy the wide range of food and drink at the restaurants and food trucks. There are daily performances by well-known Dutch artists on the stage to make the winter festival complete.
Artist programme
During this edition of the Amsterdam Winter Paradise, many special artists will once again perform. Every day, the music stage is the place to be for artists and DJs. Please note: in 2022 it will be compulsory to buy a ticket for a specific day. Do you want to see a particular artist? Then buy your ticket for that day in time. Below the programme for a number of well-known Dutch artists. Besides these artists there are many other artists that perform at the Winter Paradise. (Please note that sweatpants aren’t allowed after 21:00).

The Amsterdam Winter Paradise will be open every day from Thursday 15 December until Sunday 1 January from 9.00 am. Important: The snow paradise and outside area closes at 22:00.

How much does a ticket for the Amsterdam Winter Paradise cost?
In order to visit the Winter Paradise, you need to buy an admission ticket. This ticket gives you all-day access to the activities such as skating, the attractions at the event and the entertainment till closing time. You must reserve a day ticket in advance. This prevents it from being too busy during your visit. There is a limited capacity per day for this edition so book your tickets in time!
Please note: it is also mandatory to wear gloves on the ice rink! So take this with you too.

Where is the Amsterdam Winter Paradise held?
The Amsterdam Winter Paradise is held every year in the large halls and outdoor area of the RAI Amsterdam.
How do you travel to the event?
By Car
Parking is possible in the RAI parking garage. You can buy a parking ticket in advance for € 16.25. If you wish to pay in the car park, you pay € 4.50 per hour, with a maximum of € 28.00 per day. Book your parking place here
By Train
The RAI has its ‘own’ train station, Amsterdam RAI. This station is located a stone’s throw away from the RAI complex and is easily accessible by train from anywhere in the country. Follow the signs for RAI Amsterdam when you leave the station. For more information check the NS Travel Planner at www.ns.nl.
By Metro
Metro 50, 51 and 52 all stop at the Amsterdam Winter Paradise! The stop “Europaplein” (line 52) is right in front of the entrance. You can also get off at RAI station (lines 50 and 51). Tram 4 also stops in front of the RAI. Consult 9292.nl for the best connection from your location. During New Year’s Eve on 31 December, there will be no public transport between 8pm and 01:30am.
